Affiliate Relationships

Polaris has affiliate partnerships with third-party travel providers. When you tap a link or booking button inside the app, you are directed to one of these providers' platforms.

Polaris earns a commission when you complete a purchase through an affiliate link. This is a material commercial relationship: we receive financial compensation from our affiliate partners.

These commissions help fund the operation and development of Polaris. They do not affect the editorial selection of content, rankings, or recommendations shown in the app.

Our current affiliate partners include Viator (tours and activities) and Tiqets (museum and attraction tickets). We may add further partners — including but not limited to GetYourGuide, Booking.com, Airalo, SafetyWing, and Skyscanner — and will update this page when we do. The effective date above reflects the most recent update.

Polaris also displays a disclosure notice directly within the app, adjacent to any affiliate-linked content, so you are informed at the point of interaction.

How Commission Tracking Works

When you tap an affiliate link inside Polaris, your device is directed to the partner's website or booking platform. That link contains a unique identifier that associates your visit with Polaris. If you complete a qualifying purchase during the attribution window (typically 30 days, depending on the partner), the partner's system records the referral and pays Polaris a commission.

This attribution process may involve cookies or similar tracking technologies placed by the third-party platform on your device. Polaris does not set these cookies — they are set by the affiliate partner under their own privacy policy. If you have questions about how a partner handles tracking data, review their privacy policy directly.

Pricing and Third-Party Control

Using affiliate links does not increase the price you pay. Affiliate commissions are paid by the travel provider from their margin, not added to your booking cost.

Polaris does not control the pricing, availability, policies, or services provided by third-party platforms.

You should review the terms and policies of the third-party provider before completing any booking or purchase.

EU and UK Users

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the affiliate links and content described above constitute commercial communications under the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (UCPD) and the UK ASA/CAP Code. Polaris is committed to clearly identifying all affiliate content so that its commercial nature is obvious before you engage with it.
